If you are trying to enter your film into certain festivals or contest, you might have encountered rules about DCP delivery. DCP means Digital Cinema Package and there are certain requirement you should follow to make pass the regulations and also enable playing in theater without any issues.
DCP Aspect Ratios
Flat 1.85:1 = 1998×1080
Scope 2.39:1 = 2048×858
Make sure to use 24 Frames Per Second!
Resolutions are 2K because most theaters are still 2k and most festivals and contest don’t request for larger resolutions like 4K, as also the 4k DCP can’t be played on a 2K projector.
