<\/a><\/p>\nThe folded up size of the DJI Mavic air is quite similar to the Spark and honestly the small difference in size doesn’t matter that much. However the Mavic Air does have 4k while the Spark only shoot in 1080p. The blades on the Mavic are either the same or similar to the blades on the DJI Spark, which means they are quite noisy for such a small drone and not as silent as flying with the DJI Mavic Platinum. The Mavic Air uses a new remoted which looks quite similar to the Spark, however it does have not gotten a cable to connect with your phone to keep it charged but also give a better connect with less interference. However it is wifi connected still with the Mavic Air unlike the Mavic Pro, but its an improved wifi connection which should give you 4km range when there is no interferences, however if you are flying it in a city you have a higher chance of interference and would get a range of about 500meters instead. Which isn’t really that great when comparing it with the DJI Mavic Pro which have a better range and get less interferences from other signals and especially wifi signals.<\/p>\n The DJI Mavic Air is the first DJI Drone that comes with a build in memory of 8gb which is handy for when you accidentally forget to put the Micro SD card back into the Mavic Air. The Mavic Air officially is compatible with Micro SD sizes up to 128gb, but honestly you could just use the Samsung EVO Plus 256gb cards which I have been using on my DJI Mavic Pro and DJI Spark. Mavic Air have more sensors then compared to the Mavic Pro and Spark making it easier to avoid obstacles and their aim is also more for beginners with this drone, making this drone to be less easy to crash and rather avoid obstacles or stop before hitting it.<\/p>\n Camera wize the sensor is still the same as the DJI Mavic Pro so probably also have the same noise reduction issues with the settings. However the camera now have a wider field of view being a 24mm equivalent lens on the Mavic Air in comparison of the Mavic Pro which got a 28mm equivalent lens. This give you just more wide shots without needing to fly that far to capture the same angle. However the new lens is a static lens which can not focus, so when you want to get a close up shots of a person it would often not be in focus as you need to be closer to the subject as its is also a wider lens, however it does make it easier to have wide landscapes being in focus as you won’t ever forget to focus with this lens like on the Mavic Pro.<\/p>\n The Mavic Air is a great Drone for beginners who are just getting into flying drones as it’s have a lot of features to help filming better and being less prone to fly into something and crash. But for people already owning a DJI Mavic Pro, it is not much of an upgrade, unless you really want to have a smaller camera.
