Canon C100II + Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 on Zhiyun Crane 2 with Servo Focus

In this #techthursday video I am showing you the additional gear you need to be able to mount a Canon C100 MarkII with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 onto a Zhiyun Crane 2 with Servo Focus, also showing the new motion sensor remote for the Zhiyun Crane 2.

This combination is really great for filming wedding enabling smooth walking shots and also do more dynamic shots with a gimbal and using Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 you get the best cinematic image from that lens, another great thing is both camera and gimbal will last quite long as both have quite the batterylife and enable film the whole day without stress over batteries. The Canon C100ii can run 3-4 hours on a battery and the Zhiyun Crane 2 about 12 hours.

Having a Servo Focus is such a game changer and it being included instead of being price at crazy prices, as DJI focus set you back about 1000usd and DP Focus even more. And it being a servo focus and not in camera focus, you can also use manual lenses and cine lenses, recently SLR have made several compact cine primes which be great to use on the Crane 2. And it being a servo focus you don’t have to worry about any compatibility aslong as your lens have mechanical focus ring it would stil work.

The New Motion Sensor Remote with Follow Focus is also a great addition to the setup especially filming on a movie set, this will make its quite handy for getting the perfect framing as the gimbal operator can solely work on getting the proper framing and have someone else manage the focus wirelessly.
