This video I tested filming with the Panasonic G7 with the Panasonic 42.5mm f1.7 lens handheld at night to see how will it can film at night and how wel the power OIS works on a non IBIS camera. No grading applied just standard profile with contrast set the lowest.

Also did quite a hike while filming as I walked all the way from Kwun Tong to Prince Edwards in Hong Kong at night. The Power IOS of the lens works quite good, however you need to be quite stable yourself with your movements. However due to that the Panasonic G7 is a M4/3 camera this 42.5mm f1.7 is equal to a 85mm f3.5 on Full Frame. Personally would had expected more blurry backgrounds, but hose were only possible filming closer up shots, while doing full body shots were less visible. One unexpected feature of this lens was how close up I could get a shot, but one thing I struggled with was the focus as sometime it would not even want to move nor want to track focus, while manual focus is fly by wire which isn’t that pleasant to work with.
