In this video I am trying out my Soligor 1.33x Anamorphic lens on my GoPro Hero7 Black via a metal cage which got a 52mm threat to mount the anamorphic lens on. However the gopro field of view is too wide and actually results in a lot of vignetting. To make it cover 2.5k I used the 2.7k setting with linear to crop the Field of view as much as possible in the camera and in post stretched the width with 1.33x to make it fully cover 2560×1080 timeline. However because of the super smooth when panning you can still get a lot of moving vignettes and personally I don’t feel you are getting any special shots with this setup as also does not look more filmic nor cinematic, nor does the lensflares looks great.
