I designed this logo for a friend of mine who is a singer and was searching a logo that would fit her new album. The logo icon is both a music note but also the letter J. As I search a way to incorporate the some music feeling in her logo. As for what I heard her previous designer was making too much illustrations and also didn’t purposely want to make a too much themes but something that is simple and easy.
I actually did full research on music notes logo designs and found nobody has actually done this simple shapes for a music note yet as most out there make it rather traditional note ♪ which I found was so overly used so instead doing the same searched outside of the box and make a more rectangular version and also lately been designing more rectangular shaped logos as its kinda my current style of logos I really like.
The great thing of this design is that the icon is easy to remember and if you ask someone to look at it for a few seconds and then draw the logo without looking at it for the 2nd time, they would easily draw the icon without a problem and probably also be pretty close to drawing the actual logo. While most logo’s nowadays contains so many elements that its just not recognisable from the start and hard to remember because of all the elements, while this logo is so simple which makes it a great logo.
