In this video I want to explain when its appropriate to use DIY build and differences between certain levels of DIY. Even though most things start as a DIY even most invention are DIY projects that later become mostly a standard part of an equipment. However there are different levels and most important are the aesthetics of DIY as if it looks professional by all means it can be used for any moment but if you build some flimsy PVC rig I would only recommend using it for your self and not use it when someone hires you to film something.

Its is from 1997 so still active till 2017. And if you search DIY double shoulder mount you will see the same design which infringes this patent.
